"4/5 simply because I always feel there is room for growth. There was a critical mistake on one of my policies and Guy worked diligently to correct it. He informed me of the process that is required to correct the mistake and was always available for questions as well as keeping me informed of the status. Mistakes happen, it's how we handle them that matters and in this instance I was pleased with the outcome."

"Guy tops the list of worst insurance agents. After months of trying to contact him to get me added to my boyfriends insurance policy as an insured driver, come to find out I was never added for over a year. Although he said everything was good to go, he never again followed up or provided updated insurance cards. After no response or requests for further information we just assumed it was good to go. When trying to drop his insurance, he would dodge our attempts to contact and continued to charge us. After filing a complaint with State Farm (and this was the only time he finally responded), he sent a passive aggressive email to us saying he responded but we have no documentation trail of him attempting to contact us or respond. Steer clear from Guy."

"I paid in full 6 months on my vehicle and then the following month I received an additional bill. I called and Guy said it’s a form I had to decline something but at purchase of the policy I had it exactly how I wanted so I sent in the form he wanted and then the following month I received another notice so after multiple calls that he’s not available to take he “didn’t get my form” so I forwarded it again and he said it would be taken care of. Next was a cancellation notice of my policy that I had already paid in full 3 months prior so I called and I couldn’t get ahold of him so I wasn’t sure why I was receiving a cancellation so I paid it, 2 days later I finally got a hold of him and he said I didn’t have to pay it and I would receive a refund. I had to call twice to cancel policy and I am still waiting on my refund. It’s almost July and we been working on this since March. Do you think he answers either phones? No I’m still leaving messages. I wonder if the office is open?"

"Paid 4 months worth of premiums and not a second late and never had a policy in place. Underwriting said they never received information from Guy Gardner I confronted him and he hung up on me. Completely incompetent individual. Buyer Beware"

"I cancelled my life insurance policy, and my auto policy back in may. After three seconds of being on the phone with Guy, he said the policies were cancelled and hung up on me. I received a bill about a month later stating I still had an active policy with life and car insurance. I called Guy back, and he completely ignored me. I had to call the cooperate office just so I could get him to call me back. After four months had passed, I received another bill stating that the car insurance was cancelled, but not the life insurance. They were STILL charging me for life insurance since May when I first cancelled it. Again I reached out to Guy several times to no avail. I again had to call the cooperate office to get him to return my call. Once he finally called me back, he explained that I had to fill out a form of some sort that he supposedly knew nothing about. I filled out the form, and now I'm having trouble getting my refund due to his "lack of knowledge" in his area of supposed expertise. Furthermore, I believe he lied to me about not knowing the correct protocol on cancelling policies, and claims that my situation is out of his hands. He referred me to the life insurance department which in turn they explained to me that I STILL have an active policy. There is a possibility that I may not receive my refund due to his negligence. DO NOT TRUST GUY GARDNER OR DEBBIE GARDNER! It's hard to fathom that someone who has been in this business for so long had no clue on filling out a form to cancel a policy!"
